Rachel A. Kabb-Effron, Esq., CELA, is a partner in the Kabb Law Firm in Beachwood, Ohio specializing in Elder law and concentrating in Social Security and Veteran’s benefits. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and is recognized as a specialist by the State of Ohio Supreme Court. Ms. Kabb-Effron has been advocating for elderly and disabled clients on eligibility issues involving Medicaid and other public assistance programs since 1999. She has been a Certified Specialist since 2006.
Ms. Kabb-Effron is past-president of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association and has served as president of the Ohio Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys both in 2006 and 2010. Ms. Kabb-Effron has been an active member of the National Academy of Elder law attorneys, serving on numerous national committees. She is a member of the Ohio State, Cuyahoga County and Cleveland Bar Associations.
Ms. Kabb-Effron chaired and is a frequent speaker for NBI and Lorman- Educational Continuing Legal Education Seminars. She has been a presenter multiple times for the National Conference of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association and has taught Life Care Planning Fundamentals Programs across the country. Ms. Kabb-Effron has developed and been faculty for the Elder Care Coordinator Certificate program offered through the University of Florida. Most recently, she was asked to speak for the Tennessee Bar Webinar on Becoming the CEO of Your Law Firm.
She has been a speaker for the Cleveland Bar Association and the Toledo Bar Association 2007 Estate Planning and Probate Annual Seminar. She is a member of the Northeast Ohio Case Manager Network and was a keynote speaker for their annual meeting in addition to having been a speaker at the NEOCMN bi-monthly meeting. Ms. Kabb-Effron is an active member of the University Hospitals Bedford Senior Network and the Elder Professionals of Ohio Group.
Ms. Kabb-Effron served on the ethics committee of the Kethley House of Benjamin Rose Institute, the Jewish Community Federation's Task force of Agency Professionals, Older Adult Subcommittee and currently serves on the Jewish Family Service Association's Maturing Family Services Advisory Committee and the Medical Advisory Board for the Community Care At Home section of JFSA.
Ms. Kabb-Effron is also active with civic and religious groups including American Field Service, Business Networking International (BNI) and Park Synagogue. She was selected to serve as the president of the Premier Chapter of BNI.
Ms. Kabb-Effron has been nominated as a Rising Star through the Superlawyer process. Kabb-Effron was awarded the National Academy of Elder Law Attorney's Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Ohio Chapter in 2006. Ms. Kabb-Effron was awarded the Pro Bono Award by the Young lawyers Section of the Cleveland Bar Association. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a frequent lecturer for professional and community groups. Ms. KabbEffron graduated cum laude from the Cleveland-MarshallCollege of law and with honors from the University of Cincinnati.
Ms. Kabb-Effron has been married to her husband David since 1996 years, has two daughters and resides in Beachwood, Ohio.
