Rachel A. Kabb-Effron, Esq., Certified Elder Law Attorney
Rachel A. Kabb-Effron, Esq., CELA, is the owner of the Kabb Law Firm in Beachwood, Ohio specializing in Elder law. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and is recognized as a specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association Specialty Board. Ms. Kabb-Effron has been representing elderly and disabled clients since 1998. She helps clients with Care Advocacy and public benefits eligibility planning involving Medicaid and the VA. She has been practicing Life Care Planning since 2006.
Ms. Kabb-Effron is a past-president and current Board member of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association. She is currently serving on the Jewish Community Housing committee of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland. She is a past president of the Ohio Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Kabb-Effron has been an active member of the National Academy of Elder law attorneys and the National Elder Law Foundation, serving on numerous national committees. She is a member of the Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations. She is a past member of the William K. Thomas American Inn of Court, a law honor society.
Ms. Kabb-Effron is a member of adjunct faculty of the Cleveland- Marshall College of Law of the Cleveland State University.
Ms. Kabb-Effron is a frequent speaker for both Continuing Legal Education Seminars, CEUs for Professional groups including ACMA, NASW and for community groups. She has most recently spoken for the New York State Bar Association Elder Law Annual Meeting on Life Care Planning and has spoken frequently at the National Conference of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association on numerous topics and frequently lectures at Life Care Planning Fundamentals Course across the country. Ms. Kabb-Effron has served on the faculty of the Elder Care Coordinator certification program through Stockton College.
Ms. Kabb-Effron is also active with civic and religious groups including American Field Service, Business Networking International and Park Synagogue.
Most Recently, Ms. Kabb-Effron was honored as a Top Female Entrepreneur in Cleveland by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Ms. Kabb-Effron was awarded the National Academy of Elder Law Attorney’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Ohio Chapter in 2006. Ms. Kabb-Effron was awarded the Pro Bono Award by the Young Lawyers Section of the Cleveland Bar Association. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a frequent lecturer for professional and community groups. Ms. Kabb¬Effron graduated cum laude from the Cleveland-Marshall College of law and with honors from the University of Cincinnati.
Ms. Kabb-Effron has been married to her husband David since 1996, has two daughters and resides in Woodmere, Ohio.
