If you are looking to help put an end to Alzheimer’s, then you might want to join the local community in the 2013 Walk To End Alzheimer’s. The walk is the nation’s largest event to bring awareness and raise money for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This walk is held annually, each October, in over 600 cities around the United States and is open to people of all ages and abilities.
This year, The Kabb Law Firm will be participating in two walks, on Sunday, September 29th at Holden Arboretum and also on October 13th at the Tower City Center. There are one mile and three mile events. You can register at: http://act.alz.org/site/TR?fr_id=3600&pg=entry
There is no fee to participate, though each walker is expected to help fundraise for the event.
Alzheimer’s disease is a serious form of dementia that affects our elderly. It can cause memory loss, thought processes, and affect behavior. It is a progressive disease, which means that it gets worse over time and may follow the person through the rest of their lives. However, in some cases, early detection can slow this progression. That is why research is vital and activities like the Walk To End Alzheimer’s is a great way of raising money to help fund this cause.
Join us on September 29th and October 13th by registering to participate today, and don’t forget to stop by the Kabb Law booth! If you cannot do the walk yourself, there are plenty of ways you can still help. You can sponsor another walker or donate money to the cause. The full information can be found below:
